What we collect and what we do with it

Plain-English version. There is no legal team behind this; there's a person with a bus.

What we store

• Account: your username, email address, a hashed password (we can't see it), display name and bio.
• Content you post: bus profiles, photos, build updates, forum threads and replies.
• Direct messages: private between you and the other member. Moderators don't read them; they only see a message if one of you reports it, and then only that message and who sent it. Blocking a member stops them messaging you.
• Session info: a login cookie, and the browser name and time of your last visit, so we can show "log out everywhere" and catch abuse.
• Server logs: IP address, page requested, and time, kept for a short while for debugging and spam control.

What we don't do

• No ad networks, no tracking pixels, no analytics scripts from third parties.
• Logged-in members can see a map of where buses are. A bus only appears there if its owner sets a location on the bus page, and it's shown at that town, never an exact spot. Owners can change or remove it anytime, or hide all their buses in Settings. Trip pages you post are public and show the stops you add, so leave out any you'd rather keep private.
• Places to Stay is members only. A place shows its exact location to every member, so only add your own land if you're happy with that.
• Two outside services appear only on bus and trip pages: maps are drawn with OpenStreetMap tiles, and videos are YouTube's. Video thumbnails load from YouTube; the video itself only loads when you press play.
• We don't sell or share your email or anything else with anyone.
• Your email is never shown on the site.

Cookies

One cookie, named sid, keeps you logged in. That's it.

Deleting your account

Use the feedback page and ask. We'll remove your account and email. Posts in the forum stay up with the author shown as "deleted member", because removing them would break other people's threads; tell us if a specific post needs to go and we'll handle it.
